Welcome to UZU Reviews! We’re here to highlight Colorado businesses and their amazing products or services. Our goal is to help everyone learn more about basic branding and marketing so you can start to evaluate yours (and even our) practices. Utilizing mostly social media to connect with these businesses, we’ll be reaching out to various coffee shops, breweries and other businesses to analyze aspects of their digital marketing such as Web Design, Social Media, and of course their products
Spring44 Distillery
Spring44 was one of the first companies to graciously send us some goodies so we’re going to start with them. These guys seem to have a good grasp on their branding. Donning a single six-point snowflake, their logo quickly reminds you of the essence of Loveland where their distillery is located. The labels and packaging beholding the nectars are very clean and modern, telling the tale of their libations like most alcoholic beverages.
Their social media streams are just a little cluttered and lack a clear feel, but they are consistent. Spring44.com uses a very pure design with a simple black and white color scheme and looks to be built in WordPress. The home page slider is a bit cluttered, however everything loads well and is very responsive. Speed and mobile optimization are very important in successful Web Design so make sure your site was at least made in the 21st century.
Not only do they use clear and consistent trademarks across their platforms, but they are responsive and connect with their customers by reposting fans’ pictures and constantly shouting out the places that sell their spirits. Networking is key especially in Colorado where everyone is crazy about showing “local love”!
“The Proof Is in The Water”
Spring44 takes pride in their products, never letting you forget that they use the purest artesian Rocky Mountain Spring water. We must admit though, you can taste the difference even just trying a couple of their most popular liquors. Typically, we like our dark liquors, but both the Honey Flavored Vodka and The Old Tom Gin were very smooth in flavor. We were hesitant, but the hint of honey in the vodka lingers towards the end of your drink and yet isn’t overwhelming. The gin was surprisingly smooth, rendering a more euphoric buzz than other national brands.
She’ll Be Coming ‘Round the Mountain
We were savages and just tried it straight up, but we recommend you check out their special cocktails to truly appreciate the liquor. The boozy care package actually included a mini-mag of their spirits and a whole catalog of tasty drink recipes. Check out more of this awesome distillery at www.spring44.com and find their line at local restaurants like The Wobbly Olive and The Principal’s Office in downtown Colorado Springs.
By no means are we perfect and we’re always trying new things, so seeing Spring44’s work is inspiring. How does your online marketing compare to your competitors? Now’s the time to get ahead with your digital advertising for you and your business. Feel free to drop any comments or ideas for future reviews!
